Many of the jewelry bracelets in the Beaded category are made with stretch cord. A piece that fits properly will only need to stretch about an inch to get it on and off, and should fit comfortably once it is on. If it cuts into the skin it is too small.

The bracelets in the “Children’s” jewelry category are labeled as such due to their small size and child like designs. Most of these pieces are made with elastic cord and may not hold up as well if worn during vigorous play. They will last longer when worn as occasional pieces for dress up costume jewelry and special occasions. Due to the small size of the beads and other components, these items should only be used by children over the age where they could pose a choking hazard, and children should understand not to stretch the cord to the point where it could break. These items are quite durable but will last longer if you follow the suggestions above.

Sizing
An average wrist size for women is approximately 6″-7″. You want to allow a little wiggle room to make sure the unique bracelet fits comfortably, so when measuring your wrist, use a flexible tape measure and measure the exact size of your wrist and keep that in mind. Then adjust the tape to your ideal fit. Depending on how loose you like your inexpensive bracelet jewelry to fit, it may be up to a half inch to an inch larger than your actual wrist size.
